Paypal
Paypal is a secure website in which you can then pay by credit card or checking account through a secure without giving me your information. You do not need a paypal account to do so, just inform me Paypal will be your method of payment and I will send you an invoice. You will be responsible for the 3% fee Paypal charges and will be added to your invoice.

Pet Sitting

HD Yorkie Bears knows the importance of the care and love a Yorkie deserves and extends sitting services to all puppies adopted. 

Leave your pet to be part of my family while you are on vacation. Your dog will have all the comfort of home and be treated like my own!

 Care, love, and plenty of play time will be provided to your pet. Please bring your dog’s food and leash. You are more than welcome to bring their favorite toys, treats, bed, anything to make them feel more at home. If you have other pets arrangements can be made to watch them as well.

The price of a Yorkie…

Some breeds are more expensive to breed than others and most of the time that price is determined by the cost that goes into raising and breeding the particular breed. Toy breed dogs often cost more to breed because of their popularity, small litter size, risks, and their inability to be kenneled outdoors. A good breeders cost will be reflected in their breeding program. The breeder will be knowledgeable, confident, professional, and passionate about the breed and their breeding practice.

The price of high quality Yorkies for my breeding program are a big expense for me as a breeder as well as vet care, vaccinations, routine grooming, AKC registration, proper diet and nutrition. The time spent with my Yorkies making sure they are all healthy, happy, and content is tremendous- they are my life!

Planning a litter of puppies is a big expense and requires a lot of time and dedication. Yorkies have small litters, (often 1-3 puppies) which factors into cost as well. Its costs nearly the same amount of time and money to raise a litter of 2 as it does 10! The mother-to-be is given special care and nutrition during the pregnancy and even more so after. My girls are closely monitored during the last few days of their pregnancy to ensure I am there during the birth to comfort the mother and give medical attention if any complications arise (emergency c-sections are sometimes required by small breeds).  Some general litter expenses include vaccinations, tail docking, AKC registrations, nutrition, bedding, toys, pee pads, and advertisement.

What may seem like a large expense to you is not necessarily a profit to a good breeder; very seldom does a good breeder make a large profit from a litter of Yorkie puppies.  At HD Yorkie Bears the income from puppy sales allows me to continue breeding this breed with the upmost quality possible and enhance my breeding program and facilities when possible.

I feel the quality at HD Yorkie Bears is better than most and is comparable to the websites marketing their dogs for $1200+. I do not breed for small size or “rare” color- I only breed for sound quality within the standard and want to sell my puppies at a fair price to me and you. My dogs are handled and bred with loving care with a lot of time, research, and emphasis on making sure I have the most beautiful & healthiest dogs possible. My puppies are sent home with every bit of information their parents need to get them off to a great start. HD Yorkie Bears also has a lifetime commitment to each puppy born and has a lifetime open door policy. I feel I am responsible for each puppy I produce and will do whatever it takes to see they have a healthy, happy life. I stay in contact with the new owners as much as possible and encourage them to share their photos and experiences with me which also helps to ensure there are not any unwanted genetic characteristics in my breeding lines.

I often answer classified ads and ask general questions about the puppies and their breeding program and often times I do not get answers or I am horrified by the answers. There are some breeders out there breeding strictly for money with little attention to quality and health and without having the proper education and facilities to be doing so. Pet stores are a terrible place for puppies and a responsible breeder would not sell to a pet store meaning the puppies at the pet store are coming from puppy mills along with the diseases and mistreatment puppy mills provide. Unfortunately I cannot stop these breeders and puppy mills; but you can! These breeders are kept in business by puppy sales and unfortunately you are not saving a life by buying a sick puppy from a bad place- you are aiding in the abuse by giving them money to continue to do so. I cannot stress enough how important it is to know what environment your puppy is coming from and quality is crucial to the health of the puppy. Regardless of what breed, price or place you are buying from PLEASE remember to ask all the questions you can.  Microchip

The microchip is the best way to prove the identity of a pet...and to get your dog home fast if they are ever lost. Microchip protection almost guarantees that the pet will not be euthanized or put up for adoption if she is taken into a shelter.

If you are interested in safeguarding your puppy with a microchip please let me know when placing your deposit. The fee is $25 and your puppy will go home with his microchip implanted, a registration form, and labels with the microchip ID number for easy reference. I will also keep one of these labels with my records in case of an emergency
